“Young people usually take jobs in restaurants to earn some extra money while studying, without any vision or hope for advancement. In the Good Food restaurant chain, which is part of the Bites & Beyond company, that’s truly not the case. Here, it’s possible to build a career in many directions, and I believe that should serve as motivation for young people entering the workforce.
In my nearly three years with the company, I can confidently say that my professional journey has developed in an extremely dynamic way. I started at the Good Food restaurant in Palmotićeva, and soon after, I moved to the Point Center branch, where I was given the opportunity to take on the position of store manager.
There were moments when I considered changing careers and giving up, especially because of my university studies. However, the motivation and support from management were key to keeping me on track. They gave me the push I needed to continue studying while working in a role that offers opportunities for growth. It turned out to be the right decision, as I now work as an administrative finance clerk.
I would never change how it all began, because the hands-on experience I gained in operations proved invaluable. Even today, in a corporate environment, it helps me better understand the business as a whole. Although adapting to new challenges required a lot of effort, I learned more than I ever expected. I believe that for success — in addition to hard work and a bit of luck — the company’s willingness to provide opportunities for growth is crucial, and here, those opportunities truly exist.”
